■ Ha 2 figli maschi, nati rispettivamente nel febbraio del 2008 e nel dicembre del 2009.
■ Nel 2004, all'apice della sua carriera, ha tentato di evadere illegalmente il servizio militare che in Corea è obbligatorio per 2 anni. Dopo essersi scusato con i suoi fans per aver fatto questa poco onorevole cosa di cui si è pentito amaramente, ha iniziato il servizio militare, ritornando alla grande nel 2007 come protagonista nel drama " Thank You".
